The story of Neff Brothers RV begins back in 2002 when brothers Bill and Ralph, enjoying a couple beers together at their favorite pub, decided to start their own RV rental company. Bill had been involved with another local RV rental company, and Ralph had spent the last few years as a successful realtor in Northeast Ohio. Bill’s daughter, Angela Dudziak, who had learned the RV rental business working for her father’s first RV rental company, joined them as General Manager in 2003, and the company was incorporated as Neff Brothers RV in February 2004. Angela became 20% owner of the business in 2013. Bill and Ralph are slated to retire some time in 2017, which will have her to taking over 100% of the management roll in the operation of the entire business.
Neff Brothers RV moved from operating out of the brothers’ garages into its own facility in late 2003.
Located in Lorain, Ohio, the two-bay building housed the company well for two years, but they quickly needed more space and moved across the street to a much larger 9,000-square-foot building with six bays in 2006. The company then added a propane station and dump station in 2008, a welcome addition that made the rental process more efficient. Neff Brothers RV would eventually add a full paint booth and renovate the facility’s office spaces and reception area in 2013. With over 2.5 acres of land, the property has allowed Neff Brothers RV to consistently expand its rental fleet over the years.
In 2015, what looked like a perfect home to the expanding company, once again became outgrown. This is when Neff Brothers RV took the biggest step in its history and purchased their very own building snuggled on Grove Avenue. Sitting on seven acres and 25,000 square feet of structure, Neff Brothers decided to stay in the city limits they have called home for some many years. Housed in what was the old Joe Firment Chevy Building off Rt. 57, Neff Brothers RV again was able to match the services and products they had previously provided, while adding a new sales department to its mix of dealership offerings. They doubled the size of the parts department, and now have products shelved that bring people from all over the county who need RV supplies, accessories and parts. The Firment Chevy Collision Center is still located at this address, combining two very special, Lorain County-proud, driven, and customer-oriented, family businesses under one roof.
Neff Brothers RV celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2014 as the Midwest’s largest privately owned RV rental dealer. Since its incorporation, the company has helped more than 5000 “happy campers” hit the road. Besides avid vacationers, Neff Brothers RV also caters to high-end corporate renters, tailgate enthusiasts, film and commercial production companies, and weekend warriors just needing to get away for a few days.
Though it began with just two RVs and two pop-up campers, Neff Brothers RV currently has a fleet of 30-plus rental units. The majority of those rented are Class “A” and Class “C” RVs, along with pull-behind travel trailers.
In 2010, Neff Brothers began renting long-term temporary housing trailers for clients of insurance companies who need temporary housing during their own home renovations or rebuilding.
