Great Smoky Mountains

Distance: 1,500 miles roundtrip (est.)

Estimated Duration: 1 week or more

If you’re looking for a great experience in nature, The Smoky Mountains are one of this country’s best destinations for enjoying the outdoors. This mountain range is located on the borders of two states – Tennessee and North Carolina – and is home of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most visited national park in the entire country!

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is an amazing place to visit if you want to experience nature close up. At 2,114.15 square kilometers, it’s one of the largest protected areas in the U.S., and the park is home to an amazing range of plant and wildlife. In fact, Black Bear in the park number over 1,500 and Elk were reintroduced to the area in 2001.

Hiking, fishing and exploring – whether on foot, horseback, or in the comfort of your own car – are all encouraged activities. The park offers 10 locations at which RVs are welcome to camp, and while hook ups are limited, the surrounding area offers plenty of places to stock up on supplies and water, as well as empty your tanks.

There are also many cities worth visiting close by. Nashville is a large city in the center of Tennessee that’s known as the home of country music, while nearby in North Carolina is the charming city of Asheville where the Biltmore Estate, the largest private residence in the country, resides. Thrill seekers should check out Deals Gap, North Carolina, home of The Tail of the Dragon, an 11-mile stretch of windy pavement that’s one of the best driving roads in the country. Just go slow in your RV!

You’ll also pass through a number of major cities on your way to the Smoky Mountains, including Columbus and Cincinnati in Ohio and Louisville and Lexington in Kentucky.

The Great Smoky Mountains package is all-inclusive and covers roundtrip mileage, rental nights and generator use. The package also includes early pick-up times and late drop-offs, transportation from and to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, RV insurance, permission for additional drivers, post-cleaning (interior, exterior and holding tanks), and final fuel and propane refills. An international license and passport are required for international travelers.

Estimated pricing begins at $2,450 and varies depending on trip duration, party size and options. Destinations are suggestions only and reservations are your own responsibility. Email or call 440-282-5600 for a custom estimate.
